This is exactly the tour you are looking for.
It is a walk on the little trafficked road (3 km) and after 400 m on the beach
until you find the Punta de Piedra caves. 
On the hike we can observe a variety of birds always with a
beautiful view to the Island of Ometepe. 
The caves are a small cave with 3 entrances and in the big one
you can enter up to 20 m. Do not be scared of the thousands of bats
and do not forget to take your flashlights!

The tour depends on weatherconditions and waterlevel of the lake.
