Private transportation:

To guarantee you the best comfort on your journey to us, we offer private transfers for 2 persons from the following locations.

• Granada 70 USD
• Rivas 25 USD
• San Jorge or San Juan del Sur 30 USD
• Peñas Blancas 15 USD
• Managua and Leon on request

Notes:

• Prices are per ride, not per person, between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm
• All our tours and activities depend on the capacity of our hotel (high season) and the weather conditions or security situation and we can not always guarantee transfers.
• On customer request we can offer transport for max. 4 people but with limited luggage capacity or we can organize your transfer with one of our numerous partners.
• We are not responsible for any injury or damage that may occur during activities, tours and transfers. We have additional insurance for passengers in our vehicle.

For reservations of transport we need the following information:

• First and Last Name
• Number of passangers
• exact address where we should pick you up (hotel name)
• Date and Time
• For guests coming from Costa Rica: Departure time from San Jose or Liberia and bus line
• For guests coming from Ometepe: Departure time and place of the ferry from Ometepe

Transportation by Bus from:

Managua:

• Take the bus in Mercado Huembes to Rivas, bus company "Aguilar del Sur". The last one leaves at 1:00 pm, change the bus in Rivas to bus line "Rivas - PeñasBlancas - Cardenas" - stop at "Blue Morpho" or "Mariposa Azul"

Granada or Rivas:

• Take the bus "Granada - Rivas" and in Rivas change the bus to  "Rivas - Peñas Blancas - Cardenas" - stop at "Blue Morpho" or "Mariposa Azul"

San Juan del Sur:

• Take the bus to "La Virgen" and then the bus line "Rivas - Peñas Blancas - Cardenas". Stop at "Blue Morpho" or "Mariposa Azul"

Note:
The last bus of the line "Rivas - Peñas Blancas - Cardenas" departs at 4:00 pm.

Costa Rica:

• In Peñas Blancas wait for the bus line "Rivas - Peñas Blancas - Cardenas". Before boarding, ask the driver if he is heading to Rivas or Cardenas. You need direction Cardenas, stop at "Blue Morpho" or "Mariposa Azul"

Note: The last bus of the line "Rivas - Peñas Blancas - Cardenas" arrives at Peñas Blancas at about 5:00 pm.

Transportation by Car from:

• Managua 152 km
• Granada 110 km
• San Juan del Sur 52 km
• Rivas 42 km

Drive towards Peñas Blancas (border to Costa Rica). Pass through the last village Sapoa and turn left about 1 km after the village ends towards Cardenas. If you cross the river Sapoa after about 200 m you are correct. Continue for 8 km until you reach km 151 ½. On the right side is the Finca Blue Morpho. At night the sign is illuminated with a blue light.

• Costa Rica - Liberia 98 km

After the border check drive about 1.5 km. Then turn right towards Cardenas. If you cross the river Sapoa after about 200 m you are correct. Continue for 8 km until you reach km 151 ½. On the right side is the Finca Blue Morpho. At night the sign is illuminated with a blue light.

Note:

• We have cows. Therefore the gate is closed from 8:00 pm to 11:00 am. For earlier or later arrival please tell us.
• No four-wheel drive necessary
• Crossing the border with a rental car is NOT possible
